Hannah Dies wins a 2019-20 Governor-General’s Academic Gold Medal

Congratulations to Hannah Dies for winning one of two prestigious Governor-General’s Academic Gold Medals at Queen’s this year! This Medal is given to the graduate students with the highest academic standing each year.

Receiving a PhD degree this summer in Chemical Engineering, Hannah is concurrently enrolled in a MD degree. A recipient of the NSERC Vanier Scholarship in 2015, Hannah helped develop a process to fabricate plasmonic sensors at NFK that were commercialized while she was still studying.
